Bring different is a main aspect of life, I want to be different so I can be unique from others. So that when people see me they know that I have my own distinct personality. Generally most people want to be accepted so they usually wear the same clothes, have thea and tech, I don’t want to be sheep and blindly follow others.

Warm up 20/08/14

In chapter 25, It is made clear that Mr Underwood highly disagrees with Tom Robinson’s death. He compares the death to killing harmless birds to give the show us how there is not much difference between them. Scout described Mr Underwood as ‘Very bitter’ and that he couldn’t of cared less if he lost his advertisements and subscriptions.  And he doesn’t care if  he makes a complete fool of himself,  this shows that the town thinks that Tom should of been killed for running.

Warm up task 12/08/14

I believe Harper Lee hopes we feel the dissapointment and possible guilt that Atticus feels as Tom Robinson is convicted. She does this by giving Atticus extremely in depth quotes and paragraphs trying to defend him and trying to convince the jury to not convict him.   She also helps us build a hatred for Bob Ewell and possibly Mayella Ewell as we know, these two characters have framed Tom Robinson and Its entirely their fault that he had died. She also shows us much rascism  affected the black community back in the day.

Question 2

Atticus starts to severely sweat during the trial, scout says that Atticus never sweats, this indicates Atticus is unusually nervous, he is nervous because he knows that no matter what he says the jury will convict Tom. Towards the end of the speech Atticus says. Gentlemen, a court is no better than each man of you sitting before me on this jury. A court is only as sound as its jury, and a jury is only as sound as the men who make it up. I am confident that you gentlemen will review without passion the evidence you have heard, come to a decision, and restore this defendant to his family. In the name of God, do your duty.” He is saying this as a last resort.
